Red Nog Revival
Festive egg nog with an Aldus twist
Servings: 6 servings
- 4 large eggs (seperated)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tbls sugar
- 12 oz heavy cream
- 12 oz Red Rye Revival
- 3 oz rye whisky
- 1 tsp grated nutmeg
- In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks and 1/3 cup of sugar until sugar is completly dissolved.
- Add the milk, cream, Red Rye, whisky and nutmeg and stir to combine.
- Place egg whites in a separate bowl and beat to soft peaks. slowly add 1 tbls of sugar and continue beating until still peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the mixture.
- Chill and serve.
If you are concerned about drinking raw eggs in shell pasteurized eggs are available. Bourbon, rum or brandy will also work but we prefer the extra kick of rye whiskey.
